                                .....All
planes took off without incident and proceeded
to Cape St. George where they rendezvoused with
the bombers at 10,000' at 0930. One division,
Onyx 25, took position to the starboard side
and one division, Onyx 26. to the port, side
of the bombers. Our last division, Onyx 27 took
position about 1,600' above the entire formation.
                                .....The
course to the target was across the Channel
and inland over the Warangoi River. Steep diving
turns to the north were made with all bombing
runs being made in a generally south to north
direction, with retirement out over Blanche
                                  Bay.
                                .....The
scheduled timing went off perfectly. Onyx 25
made their bombing runs on the guns at exactly
1001, simultaneously with the division of bombers
in the supply area. Then Onyx 26 followed immediately
thereafter. The second division of bombers then
made their drops on the supply area at approximately
1003, with Onyx 27 following immediately thereafter,
                                  also on the supplies.
                                .....Pushovers,
angles of dive, and releases were approximately
                                  7,500' - 14,000', 70-80 degrees, and 3,000’
                                  - 4,000' respectively.
                                .....The
first two divisions rallied over Gredner Island
at 6,000' and proceeded back to base via Cape
St. George. Our last division of fighters made
a running Join-up east of Gardner Island and
also proceeded home via the Cape.
