the week a total of 39 sorties were flown
over various targets on New Britain and
New Ireland. A total of 18 1/4 tons of bombs
was dropped with following observed results:
-
Destroyed
small bridge NE edge Keravat Experimental
Farms.

Destroyed
a bridge SE edge Keravat Experimental
Farms.
-
Destroyed
bridge, mouth of Kabanga River.
-
Destroyed
4 huts and damaged 4 in Kamanakam Pltn.
-
Exploded
large truck and burned a small truck on
road south of Bulup.
-
Destroyed
approximately 20- 30'x30' huts south coast
Waton Island near Wumabuk.
-
Holed
serviceable appearing barge on beach at
Kabaira.
-
Holed
two 25' boats tied to wharf at Kabaira.
-
Two
direct hits in village on West Point.
-
Destroyed
or damaged 8 - 30' x 30' huts-Ravalien
Pltn.

addition to the above definitely observed
results, it can safely be said that many
additional buildings and huts have been
damaged or destroyed as a result of much
strafing and bomb hits in areas of clusters
and concentrations.
