.....All planes took off without incident and rendezvoused over the base with the four planes from VMF-218. A direct course to the target area was taken.

.....One plane developed engine trouble when a couple minutes out and was forced to return to base with one escort. Both planes returned with their bombs.

.....All planes pushed over at 7,000' into a 55-degree angle of dive with releases between 1,500' - 2,000'.

.....All planes rallied at 4,000' over Gredner Island, and then on a search for two reported 400' schooners in Blanch Bay, which proved negative.

.....The course home was down the Channel and around Cape St. George.
